Deploying the CrashPlan backup for Servers from Intune

1. Sign in as an Intune Administrator.

2. On the Home screen, go to Apps > Windows apps and select Add.

3. Choose Line-of-business app for the App type.

4. Navigate to App Information and click Select app package file.

5. Upload the CrashPlan Vault MSI and click OK.

6. Return to the App Information tab and fill in the required fields. Click Next.

7. In the Assignments tab, specify whether to use device-based or user-based deployment, and specify a user group from Entra ID. For more information on group assignment, review Microsoft s documentation.

8. Under Review + create, select Create to complete the process.

Self-serve the CrashPlan backup for Servers on Windows

Users can self-serve by linking their Windows devices to their organization's Intune.

1. In Windows, go to Start > Settings.

2. In Settings, navigate to Accounts > Access work or school.

3. Click Connect and enter an email address managed by the organization.

If the email address is valid, it will link the device to the organization's Intune.
